Amiyo: Hello Sir, thank you so much, I am very happy to be here and glad to get this opportunity to convey my feelings after getting my first job. After completing my Higher Secondary, I could wait no longer to join Maac Chowringhee for learning about the most fascinating subject- The VFX. Today I am happily working as a Roto Artist at Trace VFX.
Interviewer: Wonderful! You have got a very decent and promising job. So how it feels like?
Amiyo: I feel myself very lucky to clear the interview in a single shot. Trace VFX is a good place to learn and grow. Here working environment is also good.
Interviewer: Amiyo, why did you choose VFX as a line of career, event after completing your HS, you could have gone for higher studies?
Amiyo: As I have already told you that VFX fascinated me since my childhood. To learn about effects always craved in me. It would attract me whenever I watched any Hollywood scene with visual effects. I wanted to make my career in VFX that is why I did not go for any higher studies.
Interviewer: Why MAAC Chowringhee, what was the reason that you picked it over several others present in your own city?
Amiyo: I have visited many institutes in the city, still could not find a centre as good as MAAC Chowringhee. Especially the awards displayed and infrastructure at MAAC Chowringhee attracted me much.
Interviewer: Will you please tell us the interview procedure, so that it could be helpful for the readers to get a preliminary idea?
Amiyo: Before the face to face interview, we had to give a machine test where we had to edit a chroma shoot. Followed by that, there was an interview session. After clearing all the tests, my joining was confirmed.
Interviewer: Amiyo, how did you get this job and what remuneration have you been offered?
Amiyo: There were requirements for the roto artists in Trace VFX and the same was sent to MAAC Chowringhee, after going through the eligibility, MAAC sent us to Mumbai for the interview. The remuneration I have been offered is Rs 1.5 Lacs per annum.
Interviewer: How would you rate MAAC Chowringhee’s training program on a scale of 10?
Amiyo: I would like to rate it 8.5 out of 10.
Interviewer: Well! It was simply great talking to you however before we end the conversation, what would be your message to young fellows expecting to begin their career in animation or VFX or multimedia?
Amiyo: I would like to tell the new comers that whatever be your subject, say it VFX or animation or multimedia, you must listen to your faculties and consult them on every stage of your learning. The other thing I would like to suggest is keep practicing, because there is no other option than practicing in this field.
