Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently talked directly with some well-known people from the Indian gaming community to talk about the future of gaming. During a candid interaction, they discussed where the game industry is heading and how it can grow. This got a lot of attention from fans and others interested in gaming. The talk focused on where the gaming industry is going and what can be done to make it better. It’s a big deal because it shows that gaming is not just for fun anymore – it’s also about learning, making new things, and helping the economy grow. The meeting included gamers like Naman Mathur(aka Mortal), Animesh Agarwal (aka Thug), Mithilesh Patankar (aka MythPat), Payal Dhare, and Anshu Bisht (GamerFleet) and they all agreed on the fact that the ‘Prime Minister was the ‘biggest influencer in India’.

They discussed about how gaming is important for India, both culturally and economically.

The discussion touched upon various aspects of the gaming ecosystem, including opportunities for growth, challenges faced by developers, and the role of government policies in supporting the industry. PM Modi underscored the need for collaborative efforts between stakeholders to create a conducive environment for the game sector to thrive.

Towards the end of their interaction, the PM donned a virtual reality headset and played Beat Saber, a VR rhythm game where players slash beats of music represented by flying cubes.

When the gamers suggested PM Modi adopt a gamer tag, he quipped, “India has already given me the name ‘NaMo’.”

The PM also played Raji, an action-adventure game set in ancient India, and Stumble Guys, where his character was named ‘Namo.’

When asked about his experience, Modi said, “It was nice, but I need more practice. I am very new to this world. I will ponder on it. I want the youth to benefit from gaming as well and explore how we can create a positive and creative impact. I want our citizens to thrive in this field.”

He further encouraged gamers to consider developing games on diverse subjects.

Additionally PM said, “Today, world leaders discuss global warming and climate change. People propose various solutions, but I have presented something different to the world, and that is Mission LIFE! Now, envision a game aimed at addressing global climate issues, where gamers explore various methods and solutions to identify the most sustainable approach towards climate.”

Notably, PM Modi’s meeting with the gaming community has become a talking point in the nation, owing to e-gaming’s vast engagement with the youth. As per Invest India, the online gaming sector is the fourth largest sector in the country, with maximum growth potential.

Tips To Become a Professional Gamer:

Transitioning from casual gaming to becoming a professional gamer requires dedication, skill, and strategic planning. Here are some tips to help you navigate the path to professional gaming:

1.Understanding the requirements of the industry-

As a pre requirement one should always  understand the needs and requirements to plunge into the gaming industry. The gaming industry is vast and has specific requirements that are catered by a specific set of professionals. The industry may require animators, game developers, mobile game designers and character artist, to name a few. One must understand the requirement , choose accurse accordingly, specialize in  a particular field where one is interested choose a course accordingly specialize in a field that one is interested and gather the right skill sets.

2.One should work as a trainee or freelancer in a game studios-

One of the best way to just shape ones career as a game designer is to work as a trainee or freelancer in a game studio. This will introduce you into the day to day life of a professional gamer or game designer at a game studio.
