Tom and Jerry is a 2021 American live action animation and slapstick comedy film based on cartoon characters Tom and Jerry created by Willam Hanna and Joseph Barbera.

It is produced by Warner Animation group and it is distributed by Warner Bros.

It is the second theatrical film based on characters following Tom and Jerry the movie.

The film is directed by Tim Story and written by Kevin Costello.

It starts Chiloe Grace Mortez, Michel Pena , Colin Jost , Rob Delany , Pallavi Sharda, Jordan Bolgar, Patsy Ferran  and Ken Jeong in live action roles, with Nicky Jam, Bobby Cannavale and Lei Rel Howery in voice roles.

Classical animation or cel animation is an animation technique where each and every frame is drawn by hand.

This technique was the most dominant mode of animation during 1930, which is generally considered the Golden Age of American Animation.

Classical animation used three basic methods while creating characters and backgrounds.

First the skeleton foundation, building the character from rough skeleton with no expectation of perfecting it at the first chance  the artist experiment discards several visions before picking the best one.

Next comes the line of action, an imaginary line just extending through the main action of the figure is the line of action.

The line is first drawn and then the figure is constructed over it.

Then finally the facial expression part comes to the point.

An animator’s job is the same as an actor’s job.

Both generally play the job of portraying emotion.

Thus going through one’s own grimaces is a must.

The expressions were most photographed and the artist replicated them on character.

Tom and Jerry is an American animated series created in 1940.

These initial years were thought to be the golden era of animation for Tom and Jerry 2d animation.

MGM has made 114 animated short film  and won academy awards.

Gene Deitch –When the franchise was revived by MGM in 1961 they employed Rembrandt , Van ryan film to provide thirteen short film.

Gene Deitch headed this project.

These thirteen differed from Hannah Barbera’s original setting.

In order to the originals that were set up within or outside the house these thirteen films stirred a lot of exotic locations as well as ship jungles of the national capital .
