Straight from students’ corner. We left for NSM (2016) on 5th of August. And we never thought we could gain so much experience and fun in this NSM.
Our first seminar was on 8th August 2016 at 3pm. It was DFM Workshop. In this workshop we were taught about how to make a movie, how to use different type of camera angles and editing also. We were given 3 hrs of time to complete a two minutes short film. Within this 3hrs we made story then create a storyboard, after that we started out to shoot. After the shoot was complete we went back to editing of shots captured before. We were given 30 minutes for the editing to finish.

On the 9th of August we had two seminars of industry level training. Our first seminar was of Vandana Kataria (production designer of Byomkesh Bakshi). And the second seminar was of Vishal Anand (VFX Director of SULTAN) in both seminars we learned how R&D plays its role in making a feature film. On the same day we were taken out by our management faculties for visit in CHARPURA FORT and on the request of all students we were taken to VAGATOR BEACH.
On 10th of august we again had two seminars of Rishab Chitroda (lead animator for a famous series ALL HAIL KING JULIEN) and Shiv Nayar (VFX Supervisor for Bajirao Mastani) in first seminar we learned importance of animation in 3d movies and how to do it also. And in the second seminar we learned how VFX helps us to shot a movie without going to different location. On second half we had a workshop called Beherupiya (Art of Cloning Expression) in this workshop we created six different types of Masks and we became first in this workshop. At the end of the evening they organized DJ GALA NIGHT party.

It was an awesome experience and we did lots of fun in between whole journey. Still thinking just join Maac Animation Kolkata. Its too much fun and complete learning institute, rather its the best 3D Animation and VFX Training Institute in Kolkata.
