href=\"https:\/\/www.animationkolkata.com\/blog\/2019\/03\/15\/worthy-note-2d-3d-modeling\/\">3d modeling<\/a> can be to drawing.<\/p>\n<p>And as all forms of <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Visual_arts\">visual art<\/a> aid the development of perspective, shape, surface, form and volume, sculpting strengthens the same while giving one the the connection.<\/p>\n<p>Not many deities enjoy the variation in styles and representations as does Ganesha.<\/p>\n<p>Through ages, Ganesha has been depicted in numerous contemporary situations as humans themselves.<\/p>\n<p>With this idea at the core of our thought, we came up with the idea of organising a Creative Ganesha making <a href=\"http:\/\/www.animationkolkata.com\/blog\/2018\/01\/12\/maac-chowringhee-calendar-competition\/\">competition<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Where students have the freedom to sculpt out their version of the mighty god from clay.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.animationkolkata.com\/blog\/2017\/08\/04\/digital-sculpting-bringing-creatures-life\/\">Sculpting<\/a> from any medium, helps you develop your sense of understanding shapes, surfaces and most importantly volume.<\/p>\n<p>Like all other art forms, sculpting has its own takeaways.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" mistakes and learn along with the flow.<\/p>\n<p>Students can shape and reshape the structure they are making until they are satisfied with the resultant forms.<\/p>\n<p>The choice of the type of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.animationkolkata.com\/blog\/2018\/08\/20\/recognize-unknowns-clay-animation\/\">clay<\/a> was left to the students to think for.<\/p>\n<p>As widely worshiped as Ganesha is, he also has many forms for his devotees, who belong to various ethnicities and topographical areas.<\/p>\n<p>And so, Ganesha has embodied around thirty-two diverse forms.<\/p>\n<p>The central figure of the Ganesha form has a combination of four arms, a round belly, an elephant\u2019s head instead of a human one, and sometimes it appears with one tusks broken.<\/p>\n<p>Ganesha in a dancing stance is also quite popular.<\/p>\n<p>Thinking of his structure from a fresh point of view is a bit difficult as well as gives you a challenge.<\/p>\n<p>But since we are talking about the one who has an and enthusiasm.<\/p>\n<p>The competition was set to be held on 12th of April, 2019.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-7581\" src=\"http:\/\/www.animationkolkata.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/image001-300x75.gif\" alt=\"Ganesha Idol Design Competition @Maac Kolkata\" width=\"996\" height=\"249\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And the students were required to create their very own Ganesha in the center premise itself.<\/p>\n<p>All the students from all three of our centers <a href=\"https:\/\/www.animationkolkata.com\/multimedia-graphics-3d-animation-visual-effects-gaming-vfx.php\">MAAC Chowringhee, MAAC Rashbehari and MAAC Ultadanga<\/a> had participated in the competition.<\/p>\n<p>Since the morning on Friday, students from all batches across our three centers, which are collectively known as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.animationkolkata.com\">MAAC Kolkata<\/a> were busy preparing the concept of their Ganesha.<\/p>\n<p>Under the guidance of our learned faculty members, students always strive to give their best.<\/p>\n<p>As we have time and again expressed, our students are our pride.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-7589\" src=\"http:\/\/www.animationkolkata.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/image009-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"Ganesha Idol Design Competition @Maac Kolkata\" width=\"611\" height=\"344\" srcset=\"https:\/\/animationkolkata.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/image009-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/animationkolkata.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/image009.jpg 621w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 611px) 100vw, 611px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Students tried out various colours and styles for their best Ganesha idols.<\/p>\n<p>One of our students <strong>Arijit Dey,<\/strong> came up with a vibrant combination of yellow and red to signify the auspiciousness associated with the deity.<\/p>\n<p>With minimalistic design patterns, the overall rotund form of Ganesha was very pleasing to look at.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rishiraj Banik<\/strong> conjured up the idol to represent the fertility of earth and how Ganesha blesses the people with good harvest and thus great year ahead.<\/p>\n<p>His Ganesha had the feeling of mud with well developed forms and details.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-7590\" src=\"http:\/\/www.animationkolkata.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/image010-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"Ganesha Idol Design Competition @Maac Kolkata\" width=\"456\" height=\"342\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 456px) 100vw, 456px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Swapnil Nag<\/strong> on the other hand improvised his own version of Sidhidata, as he painted the form with gold to indicate prosperity.<\/p>\n<p>He worked on the form with craftsmen clay, giving it a basic coat of white, to be covered with gold once it dried up a little.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-7591\" src=\"http:\/\/www.animationkolkata.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/image011-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"Ganesha Idol Design Competition @Maac Kolkata\" form to signify celebration in all forms, the Ganesha covered in multiple colours gave off the celebratory mood of existence.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 533px) 100vw, 533px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Sunil Samanta<\/strong> created a mini version of the Ganesha much alike his very own beloved mouse.<\/p>\n<p>With colours like pink and yellow he signified he gentleness and freshness of his and also with mud colours brought out the strength he possesses.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter Ganesha with shining kundan, evident of the love that is bestowed upon the deity by his followers, who worship him in a child like form.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" green finish for his Ganesha and adding to it he came up with a sleek minimalistic design which was as decorative as was it meaningful.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" prominent design to Ganesha, with bold colours depicting merriment and his majestic appeal.<\/p>\n<p>She added a lotus in full bloom as the carrier of good fortune, prosperity and strength to stand against adversity and be victorious.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-7596\"
